Wellington Civic & Leisure Centre replaces Health Suite

Telford & Wrekin Council will be refurbishing the Health Suite at Wellington Civic & Leisure Centre from Monday 16 October.

The Health Suite will be completely replaced with a new, larger spa pool, sauna and steam room. The installations will also be accompanied by modernised wall tiles, new flooring, ceilings, lighting and furniture.

The swimming pool, changing village and other facilities at the Centre will be unaffected.

To facilitate the final stages of improvements at the Centre; sauna and steam room facilities will be available at Oakengates Leisure Centre to all Aspirations members.

The refurbishment completes the Aspirations development at Wellington Civic & Leisure Centre; featuring the new expanded fitness suite, class studio and cycling studio.

Councillor John Minor, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Green Spaces and Parks, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused, the refurbishment is the last stage of development at Wellington Civic & Leisure Centre, providing an excellent health & fitness offer to all members.

The new facilities will give members access to a variety of high standard fitness and relaxation opportunities at Wellington, including the swimming pool and café.”

The new and improved facilities will open January 2018.
