Travel warning for Shropshire and beyond

A warning has been issued to people attempting to travel this weekend.

Severe weather warnings for both wind and rain have been issued as Storm Callum sweeps across the country.

Arriva Trains Wales has cancelled ALL trains on some routes.

“Aberystwyth – Machynlleth – Newtown – Shrewsbuy
No trains will operate between Machynlleth and Newtown in both directions after 1000 until start of service on Monday.”

A replacement bus service has been arranged, however Arriva Trains Wales points out that this is contingent on poor weather conditions which might affect roads.
