Operator trapped 45 feet up in a cherry picker

At 11.52pm on Saturday morning, Shropshire fire and Rescue Service received a plea for help in Park Lane, Old Park, Telford.

An operator of a so-called cherry picker access platform had become trapped 45 feet up in the air.

The Wellington-based special rescue tender and another fire engine from Wellington were dispatched to the scene along with an operational officer.

The fire crew members were quickly on the scene and were able to swiftly rescue the trapped operator.
