Easter takes flight at Telford Town Centre
A host of free activities are lined up to entertain families at Telford Shopping Centre this Easter.
Across the Bank Holiday weekend, the Centre is hosting a series of craft workshops aimed at keeping younger visitors happy.
There will also be competitions offering two winners the chance to enjoy a family meal in the new Southern Quarter restaurants opening this month.
Katie Broome, marketing manager for Telford Shopping Centre, said: “We always like to offer something special for families during school holidays, and this Easter we have a bumper selection of events.
“As we gear up for the second Telford Kite Festival in the Town Park next month, we have decorated the Centre with colourful kites and there will be a brilliant free kite making workshop on Easter Monday.
“For those who love to take a selfie, there are a couple of fun photo boards placed in the malls – one in The Border and one in New Row. Anyone uploading their photos from these to our Facebook page will be entered into a draw to win a £100 gift card to spend at Prezzo or TGI Friday.
“And there is also a trail of kites with a hidden code phrase to be found. Entry forms for this can be collected from Customer Services and, again, there is chance to win a fantastic £100 family meal at the Southern Quarter.”
The kite trail and selfie competitions run from 8th April until 8th May.
On Thursday 13th April, young visitors will be invited to create a chocolate Easter bunny cookie, while on Good Friday they can paint their own ceramic Easter bunny money box. Saturday 15th April sees an Easter bunny mask making session and an egg hunt with Bertie Bunny.
The Centre is closed on Easter Sunday, reopening on Easter Monday with the free kite making workshop. All of the craft activities will take place in New Row (by House of Fraser) from 11am until 4pm.
The Telford Kite Festival takes place on Monday 7th May in the Town Park Arena.
